Eternal Emperor
05:49
|
|
||
Raise up your bows towards the sun!
For the age of Qin is dawning.
Three centuries of civil war has birthed the first empire of China.
One hundred thousand men slain
Are as one in the ruthless gaze of Huangdi.
To bring the seven kings to kneel amidst famine and disaster.
Huangdi! Behold the price of immortality.
Sunrise beckons to the king, the heir to heaven, fearing sunset.
Entombed alive the hundred schools and burned the wisdom of Confucius
Unto the hordes of north and south the emperor will show no mercy
And with a hundred workers deaths draw a line of blood around the empire
One king to rule under heaven, one army to rule under earth
Huangdi conqueror of death, eternal emperor of clay
One king to rule under heaven, one army forged of flame
Huangdi conqueror of terror, in stone lies eternal life
His death foretold by prophecy, from the sun the stone fell in Dongjun
The first emperor will die, below his great wall his empire divided

The Doom of Kiev
03:51
|
|
||
A cloud is risen over the eastern sky,
Its shadow falls upon the lands of Rus'
The air it whispers of an inhuman foe,
Bearing death upon the steppes
Flee! Fast as you can! The horde sweeps over our land,
King and country be damned, for the Doom of Kiev is at hand!
Courage is worth nothing before the wrath of Khan Batu
His footsteps stained still with the blood of Vladimir
Our grand prince fled to make peace with the foe
Left our lives forfeit to the sweeping tatar yoke
Voivode!
Seek no parley with the butchers of Chernigov
Voivode!
Death has come upon the empire you would defend
The black hoods have fallen, we are a thousand alone
Twelve tumen surround us, there's nowhere to run!

In Lindisfarne It Lay
05:16
|
|
||
The power of myths and legend lay in its skin and heart
Adorned with a crown of blue and gold, the legend of the word
Born out of piety to carry the divine
The words and sigils of light before the dragon came
In Lindisfarne it lay, charred but unbroken
In Lindisfarne it lay, memories and tragedy
In Lindisfarne it lay amongst death and flame
In Lindisfarne it lay
A martyr scarred in battle, the skin of beast the word of god
Made by man surviving the aeons, ancient wisdom's call
Fire rains from the heavens, the seas open up
The pious and protected by faith, power and might
The walls in ruins, the tower ablaze,
Wails of terror as pious souls dismay.
Yet the word, the magic and the heart,
The gospel unbroken and unharmed
In Lindisfarne it Lay

Walls of Acre
04:40
|
|
||
These walls of Acre, be its final host
These walls so mighty, can they be hold
These walls of acre, our land of hope
These walls of mighty, lost forever more
We once came, full of hope
Yet hatred's all we've sown
The cross drenched in blood
Forever left to mourn
These walls of Acre, the vessel of life
These walls so mighty, fallen to flames
These walls of Acre, death and fire
These walls so mighty, lost in the sands of time
Now! No way out, the swarm of locusts,
Gone! The days of hope. the temple of Solomon
Broken! The walls of stone
The dust upon the ground,
Fallen! The templar, engulfed in flames

Parthia
04:15
|
|
||
They planned on marching against the enemy,
A foe, ancient bold and brave
Eastern lands rich in gold and plunder,
The might of Rome will make sure they're tamed
Their lands protected by the desert,
Shrouded by an endless sea of sand
Making for an impregnable killing field,
Too hot to make a march across the sea
Refusing the passage,
Refusing the safety,
Refusing the help due to pride
Pride marks the march towards exhaustion,
Pride marks the march towards your doom
Twenty thousand soldiers in the desert,
Marching towards exhaustion and death
They marched through sand, heat and fire,
Wary for the horses that will come
Slowly feeling life draining from them,
As they pay the price for patrician Roman pride
The arrows hail down like spears of lightning
From ten thousand horses ready for sand and war
Legionnaires crying out for mercy,
Wishing they had never left their home

Covenant
04:56
|
|
||
The saviour of the land foretold,
Bearer of the white gold
Awakens from the worlds cruelty,
His bitter heart filled with beauty
Do you believe you are the chosen one?
Do you believe you have the strength to win?
Can you escape your own futility?
You know you can't survive without it
Covenant, Wielder of unbelief
Covenant, Leper! Outcast! Unclean!
This world has shaped you in brave Berek's image,
In the halfhanded mould you see your demise.
A leper with a mighty force, the dichotomy a fatal choice
To save this world from leprosy, escape the cruelty of your own
The wielder of the white gold, powerless through self constraint
Enemy and a saviour, to preserve yourself is to admit defeat

Over the Phantom Sea
05:25
|
|
||
A voyage east to foreign lands, the perils of the deep
They sailed with their resolve and with their gold
With splendid wares the ship is filled,
Their deals are made and struck
Now homeward bound with Eastern treasure sold
The wind brewed to defy them, a torment from the sea
They prayed unto their captain, for their lives they made their plea
With madness brewing in his heart, the crew he did ignore
A cursed cry into the sky, with blasphemy he swore
Over the phantom sea they sailed, a journey cast in gold
The waters rose to begin their plight, the heart of the captain bold
Sailors’ terror to behold
After the sailors heard the call they took to arms their swords
They gathered on the deck, the ship to turn
The captain glared towards them, his back turned to the storm
A fire in his eyes began to burn
His face distorted to a grin as he shot their leader dead
He cast the corpse unto the depths and the waters turned blood red
The ship she swore a fatal curse, an undead crew, them all
To roam the seas, to know no peace, “Amen to that!” his call
Over the phantom sea they sail, united by the curse
Bound to the ship eternally for better or for worse
The vessel damned their hearse
Lightning crash in the black sky overhead,
Waters rise to a deadly flood
Fatal voice from her sworn oath
The ship aglow in the shade of blood
Flesh-torn bones of the undead sailors, damned their souls eternally
Bound to the ship and the captain who cursed them
Sailing over a phantom sea
In time a child watches, observer from the North
The future king he halts to see a crimson light go forth
The young boy stares eyes filled with awe, realises not their plight
The sailors, o the wretched souls beneath the crimson light
Over the phantom sea they sail, united by the curse
Bound to the ship eternally for better or for worse
Over the phantom sea they sail, sailing on and on
The sailors, o their wretched lives to never see the dawn

Y Gododdin
07:18
|
|
||
The road winds south from Dun Edin, sorrow in its stones,
For the laughter of the Gododdin still echoes through it's steps,
300 to the Angles marched.
The road winds south from Dun Edin yet we have found its end,
There sits a wolf at Catraeth's gates, we met without a sword.
The finest of the Hen Ogledd, with courage bound as one
With ancient lance, with readied bow,
Brought death unto the sassenach
Now earth lies atop Aneirin, but the lament is still sung
Though Dun Edin lies fallen, in Strathclyde his words live on
The finest of the old north, now buried by defeat
With ancient lance, with broken bow,
Together lie in saxon earth
A cairn lies atop Aneirin, but the lament is still sung
All Arthur's heirs in earth remain, in mourning the north is reborn
The road winds south from Dun Edin
Yet we have found its end
